For those who would like to experience the canyon from above and below, this
is a unique opportunity for the ultimate Grand Canyon experience. The tour
begins with an airplane flight from Las Vegas over the Hoover Dam, Lake Mead and
extinct volcanoes to the Grand Canyon West Airport. Once there, guests will board
a helicopter for a 4,000 foot descent below the canyon rim.
On the canyon floor,
they will board a pontoon boat for a relaxing float down the Colorado River. Boats
are operated by trained guides that will point out the spectacular geological
formations that make up the canyon walls.
After returning to the top of the canyon
rim, a motor coach will transfer all guests to Guano Point where the Hualapai Indians
will host a delicious barbeque-style lunch. Eat and then explore the awesome beauty
of the canyon as it drops away beneath you. Return trip to Las Vegas is via airplane.
