We stayed in the Venezia tower Bella Suite. Be prepared to walk significant distances to everything. You must also take multiple elevators to get there, and these elevators are not near each other. Find the elevator on the other side of the lobby that takes you up to the Venezia lobby which is on the 10th floor of the Venetian tower, from there walk half way around the tower to another set of elevators up to the 10th floor to our room. To the pool, elevators 10 floors down, walk around the tower to the sky bridge across to the Venetian tower down to the 4th floor. To their credit staff dressed as soldiers are stationed at strategic locations and helpful in guiding you to your destination. We saw many people asking for directions, and was a frequent topic of elevator conversation. The "Suites" were nice. Two flat screen TV's. Separate step down sitting area. Restrooms were fine, spacious, nothing spectacular. Beds were regular firm mattress, no pillow top or comforter just a regular bed. No refrigerator, and no coffee maker. The continental breakfast was a total joke, and a very uncomfortable experience. Cattle to the trough and nowhere to sit. Tried Zine restaurant - below average. Cantonita - similar to mexican fast food. Dos Caminos was great.

We arrived at about 11:30 on Tuesday July 13th and there was a huge line to check in but only two people working to check people in. It took us nearly 2 1/2 hours to get from the lobby to our room. Then we were assign a lessor room than the one we paid for and it took over an hour to straighten that issue out. The travelocity agent said the front desk staff wasn't very friendly. A five star hotel should never have such disregard for their guests. I noticed during the day they had more than a dozen people working to check guests in. There is plenty of places that will appreciate your business. I would not stay here ever again and recommend that if you do stay at The Venetian arrive during the day.

After reading many reviews where people had complained about everything from long check in lines to the perfume smell thats pumped through the hotel I was a little concerned about what might happen during our stay. Happily our 4 days at the Venetian were excellent from start to finish.....this hotel is stunning!! The staff were very friendly and our check in time was literally a few minutes #40being the only ones in line#41. We did however see a long line up at about 11pm so cleary it all depends on what time your flight gets you there. We arrived around 2 in the afternoon. In my opinion no hotel is perfect anyone can have a bad experience and we found all the hotels had there own smell. Theres is most decidedly a lot of walking but you have to consider the size of the hotel - and its Vegas its nothing but walking. We definitely recommend and would stay at this hotel again.

First night: someone puked in the hallway on my floor; ok can't blame the hotel for someone else's stupidity. Next night - had to deal wtih security, front desk (extremely rude) & management about maintenance being done in another room. There was hammering & electrical equipment being used from 3AM - 6:30AM - and had to be up at 6:30 for a meeting. After excuse after excuse, and being passed around for hours without any end in sight, of course it stopped when I had to be up in the morning. Their response and/or any empathy to the situation may have made my stay better, but the rude staff made it even ten times worse. We had a company meeting at the hotel in one of the larger suites (where I was staying) and they didn't even come back at the end of the day & clear the room. Wouldn't recommend staying here to anyone - and I will not ever stay here again even if the room was comp'd!
